Lucky 7 Meme

I was tagged by my friends Dorothy F. Shaw and Allie Sanders for this meme.

Writers, here are your rules for the Lucky 7 Meme:
1. Go to page 77 of your current MS/WIP
2. Go to line 7.
3. Copy down the next 7 lines, sentences, or paragraphs, and post them as they’re written.
4. Tag 7 authors.
5. Let them know.

I posted 7 sentences from my first book. They happened to comprise a full paragraph and don't contain any spoilers. Hope you enjoy.

Robin

“It's the blood,” he said. “But it burns off pretty fast, unfortunately.” He took a washcloth from the shelf behind me, soaked it under the tub's faucet, and cleaned the dirt from my wounds. Then he went over my leg with peroxide. “That's that,” he said at last. “I think that you shouldn't bandage your leg. Leave it open to the air, and wear something loose.”

  1. Man, I liked this guy. I wished we had met under better circs. As it was, "I need you to promise me something."
He was looking at me warily. I felt his stare as if he were trying to bore through the skin and see what the hell my brain was up to.
    "What?"
Yep, wary, even in his tone of voice. "I want you to promise me that you'll get the kids out of there even if it means leaving me behind." There. It was out there.
"What the Hell?" he exploded angrily. "What kind of man do you think I am?"
"I think you're an honorable one. One that'll make personal sacrifices to protect others. I need you to be willing to sacrifice me if it means the difference between my kids' safety and them getting hurt or killed."
"Damn it, Serena. You really think I can abandon you. After last night? And after you saved me?"

Okay, someone tagged me for 7th page, etc. So here's 77th, and a few extra lines cuz it made a short scene. Thanks!

  2. Seven plus one...it completed the scene! Keep in mind: it's still a WIP!

    “I should go.”
Cami stood up. Mac shot up out of her chair and walked with Cami to the door.
“Just be careful, okay?” Mac warned, stepping onto the porch. “This guy knows who you are, so you better have some hi-test witchy mojo tricks up your sleeve. He’s hardcore, and he’s out for blood now.”
    Cami’s eyes met Mac’s.
“I will,” Cami softly replied, “and I do.”

  3. I love these...I also think it's interesting that we all submitted scenes with a similar feel. Evidently we'll enjoy reading each others books :)
